Loader crane tips onto truck driver during installation

02/09/2026 · Le Châble (Val de Bagnes) (VS) · Transport · Fatal

A 53-year-old truck driver was fitting a crane to the rear of his truck at the depot. The crane tipped for unknown reasons and pinned him against a bucket on the ground.

Fitting and removing attachments is non-routine work: follow the manufacturer, prop parts before releasing them and never stand beneath heavy components.
