Site crane buckles and falls onto building, railway and road

A crane on a building site buckled for unknown reasons and fell onto a neighbouring building, a railway line and the main road, which were closed.

A crane collapse without injuries is a near miss with a lot to learn from. Stability, ground, erection and wind limits must be checked and documented before use.
